E-Learning Days

Thank you for your assistance during our first e-learning day. We appreciated our families and our students who took the learning day as an opportunity to participate with their class virtually and also to work independently on core curriculum (the packet that was provided).

If any E-Learning Days are called in the future, students will have a packet labeled as to what day we are on (the next one will be day 2). Teachers will send home iPads prior to inclement weather for students to be prepared as well. We appreciate you keeping these items in student book bags unless needed. If an e-learning day is not used, please return the materials unused as we will send home for the next possible e-learning day.

Random Acts of Kindness Week

Next week we will celebrate random acts of kindness at Franklin. We are asking students to wear any apparel that represents being kind all week. Students will be discussing random acts of kindness with Ms. Hopkins during our Second Step lessons. Check out this link for ideas to incorporate at home. https://www.randomactsofkindness.org/

Winter Gear for Outdoor Recess

Students will be outside when temperatures are at or above 15 degrees (real feel). In order for kids to play in the snow, they must have both snow pants and boots. If your child has one without the other, they will not be able to play in the snow.

Morning Procedures:

Make sure your child is on time for school. Our tardy bell rings at 8:15.

Please do not drop your child off before 7:50. Students can be dropped off at Door 1 (front office) or Door 2 (drop off drive-thru lot).

Students wanting breakfast need to go directly to the gym, and will walk to their lockers after eating.

Once at their locker, students can take out their cold lunch (for those that bring one), and wait in front of their locker until the bell rings at 8:05.

There are always 4 lunch choices: cold lunch (bring lunch from home), deli sub, SBJ, & a hot item (changes daily).

Dismissal Reminders:

Please be sure to send a note or call the school office if your child's after school transportation changes throughout the year.

Kindergarten dismisses out door 1 (front door).

1st grade dismisses out door 3 (playground door).

2nd grade dismisses out door 2 (pick up lane).

Door 4 is the bus door.

*If you pick up at door 2, please remain in your car at all times.
