PLC Wednesday Dismissal will continue with K-2 dismissing at 2:05 and PreK following their PM dismissal schedule of 2:15pm. This will take place every Wednesday unless it is a District Half Day and we will dismiss at 11:30am on those occasions.
Cherrydale Fundraiser
We've started our fall fundraiser and your involvement is needed more than ever! We are hoping to raise $10,000 and we only have 6 days left. You can support the fundraiser by any of the following: 1) Purchase items out of the catalog for you and your family. 2) Share your fundraiser on social media, by email, or text on www.ShopFund.com 3) Ask neighbors, co-workers, friends & others to purchase and show their support. Please know that your assistance this year in particular will make a huge difference and thank you in advance for your participation in the fundraiser!

Cooler Weather
It is getting cooler outside, please make sure you send your child with a coat. The Franklin playground gets chilly. Students are outside for over 20 minutes at lunch recess. We go outside if it is over 15 degrees.

Nurse Notes
In Illinois, the deadline for new students, prek and kindergarteners to submit physical and immunization records to their school is October 15th. If you have questions, please call Nurse Katie at 815-625-5755.
Morning Procedures:
Make sure your child is on time for school. Our tardy bell rings at 8:15.
Please do not drop your child off before 7:50. Students can be dropped off at Door 1 (front office) or Door 2 (drop off drive-thru lot).
Students wanting breakfast need to go directly to the gym, and will walk to their lockers after eating.
Once at their locker, students can take out their cold lunch (for those that bring one), and wait in front of their locker until the bell rings at 8:05.
There are always 4 lunch choices: cold lunch (bring lunch from home), deli sub, SBJ, & a hot item (changes daily).

Dismissal Reminders:
Please be sure to send a note or call the school office if your child's after school transportation changes throughout the year.
Kindergarten dismisses out door 1 (front door).
1st grade dismisses out door 3 (playground door).
2nd grade dismisses out door 2 (pick up lane).
Door 4 is the bus door.
*If you pick up at door 2, please remain in your car at all times.
