Nurse Notes

In Illinois, the deadline for new students, prek and kindergarteners to submit physical and immunization records to their school is October 15th. If you have questions, please call Nurse Katie at 815-625-5755.

iPad Insurance Reminder (K-2 students):

The district charges an insurance fee of $20 per student and it covers any accidental damage to the student iPad throughout the school year. It was an optional fee to add during the registration process. If you did not add this fee during registration, you can add it through the Fees & Fee Payments tile in Skyward. The insurance is $20 and covers accidental damage to the iPad. Insurance is available to purchase until October 2025. If the fee isn’t paid by October 3rd, the family will be responsible for the full cost of repairing/replacing the device. I highly recommend you pay for the insurance! A broken screen can cost over $100 to repair.

PTO Cherrydale Fundraiser

Franklin and Washington PTO Fundraiser Starts in 5 Days so get Pre-registered today!!

Our big fundraiser starts in a few days! Our goal is to raise $10,000.00 to help cover the cost of field trips.  Our PTO pays $7 for each child to take a field trip.

Morning Procedures:

Please do not drop your child off before 7:50. Students can be dropped off at Door 2 (drop off drive-thru lot). If you are walking your child up to door 1, please make sure you do not park in an area with a yellow curb.

Students wanting breakfast need to go directly to the gym, and will walk to their lockers after eating.

Once at their locker, students can take out their cold lunch (for those that bring one), and wait in front of their locker until the bell rings at 8:05.

There are always 4 lunch choices: cold lunch (bring lunch from home), deli sub, SBJ, & a hot item (changes daily).

Dismissal Reminders:

Please be sure to send a note or call the school office if your child's after school transportation changes throughout the year.

Kindergarten dismisses out door 1 (front door). Please make sure you do not park in an area with a yellow curb while picking up your child.

1st grade dismisses out door 3 (playground door).

2nd grade dismisses out door 2 (pick up lane).

Door 4 is the bus door.
